Hello, I Will be in Japan next month can I use the JR Pass in the first day i arrive at the airport? Im going from Haneda Airport directly to Kyoto, do I need to make any seat reservation or can i go directly to the Shinkansen?

Both options are available to you - you can hop on and take a non-reserved seat, or reserve a seat ahead of time.
