Hallo,

I plan to visit Osaka, Kyoto and Nara. I am not sure about the duration of the JRPASS. I what to go Osaka on 24 march, then 27 to Kyoto. Is my 7 days pass still valid if what to go back to Tokyo on 31 march? If i take the train on 24th after 12 am( afternoon) and the on 31 before noon(before 12 o'clock)?

Kind regards,
Georgi

Hi Georgi,

The JR Pass is counted in days, and each day is counted as a full day, no matter what time you start using the pass. For example, starting the JR Pass on a Monday, means the following Sunday is the last day of travel.

You are allowed to finish a train ride, if you boarded the train before midnight, but will not be allowed to board a new train.

Kind regards,
Daniel
