Hi Daniel, I read online that we have to use "JR gates" to enter train stations with JR pass. Is that correct? If so, what is the easiest way to find "JR gate" at train stations? First time going to Japan. Transportation is what scare me the most.
Thanks!

Hi there,

Yes, this is correct. The JR Pass now has an electronic strip that you can use to enter/exit the JR Station with.

Transport in Japan is the best in the world (at least that's my opinion). The first couple times it can be a learning experience but you will quickly get adjusted to it and then enjoy getting around.

Have a good trip!
Daniel
