How the start and end of use of JR pass is considered?

I am going to Tokyo on october . I will arrive at 16 hours., at this time I´ll start to use JR pass , if I buy a JR Pass for 7 days when will be end my JR pass

Hi there,

The JR Pass is counted in days and the 1st day is counted as a full day, no matter what time you first get on the train.

E.g. activating the JR Pass on a Monday will mean that the last day of travel is the following Sunday.
