Hi! Im planing to land in Tokyo(2d), then visit Mt. Fuji, go to Kyoto (2day) and they go to Hiroshima(2day) and come back to Osaka (1 day) for my departure flight.
Does it make sense to buy the pass? Where can I buy the pass. I live in Dalian, China. How much does it cost?

Thank you...

Hi there,

For a 7 day pass to make economic sense you must spend over ¥28,300 on individual JR tickets. Lets look at a breakdown of your costs:

  1. Tokyo > Odawara: ¥3640, (35mins, 83km)
  2. Odawara > Kyoto: ¥11750, (160mins, 429km)
  3. Kyoto > Hiroshima: ¥10790, (112mins, 380km)
  4. Hiroshima > Osaka: ¥10520, (109mins, 345km)
  5. Osaka > Kansai airport: ¥3140, (57mins, 64km)

TOTAL: ¥39840 for 5 legs

As you can see you'll save at least ¥11,540 with a 7 day rail pass so I can certainly recommend it. We can deliver rail passes to China, and you can see all our delivery fees on our site here. Alternatively, you can purchase from a local Chinese agency which are listed here.

Hope this helps!
