Hi :)

Is a pass for the following itinerary worth it?
Arriving in Tokyo 18/10 to 22/10, then go to Kyoto 22/10 to 24/10 and last to Osaka 24/10 to 27/10.
Also I’m going to Nara from Osaka on the 25fth of October.
I am traveling with hold luggage, is it possible to take it on the train?
Thank you! :)

Hi there,

A JR Pass wouldn't be your most cost-effective option - my recommendation would be to purchase your tickets individually or consider a Hokuriku Arch Pass, although this would make your journey times longer between Tokyo and Kyoto at the benefit of a lower price.

You can take luggage with you without having to prebook as long as its combined dimensions do not exceed 250cm. More info on this can be found on our blog post here.

Hope this helps!

Alexis
