4. Stay in Kawguchiko and Mt Fuji 3 days
5. Kawaguchiko to Gifu via Nagoya
6. Gifu to Shirakawa-go
7. Shirakawa go to Takayama
8. Takayama to Nagoya
9. Nagoya to Kyoto
10. Kyoto to Osaka:
11. Osaka to NRT
Please let me know if getting a JR pass is worth it for this trip as we have to hire a vehicle for part of our trip. If yes, what pass do you recommend? Also, if we buy a JR 7-day pass, must we use it within 7 days of activation or any day during our visit up to seven days? Thanks for your help.

Hi there,

I recommend a 7-day JR Pass if you have long-distance travel planned within a 7-day period. For example, as the second half of your trip involves significant travel between cities, the JR Pass could be a cost-effective option.
Please keep in mind that the JR Pass is valid for 7 consecutive days only.

I hope this helps!

Kind Regards,

Mariko
