Hi Good day! My family and I, we’ll be traveling to japan in different airports but same itinenary

5 of us will be coming from NARITA airport terminal 2 going to osaka namba..

3 of us will be coming from Kansai Airport terminal 2 going to osaka Namba..

For the Narita group, we will be availing your 7days Jr Pass for the whole japan.. how can we go to osaka namba what station or train should we ride when we arrive NRT airport? We will be arriving dec. 1, 8PM.

For the Kansai group, what do you suggest that we get for our transportation pass?

Hi there,

For the Kansai Group, I would just buy normal tickets. You can sit together, if you buy your seats together if you book them together with the JR Pass tickets.

The route from Narita Airport to Namba using the JR Pass is:

Narita Airport -> Tokyo, using the Narita Express
Tokyo -> Shin-Osaka using the Hikari Shinkansen
Shin-Osaka - JR-Namba, local train with a transfer at Shin-Imamiya station.

Do note that you will not be able to travel on to Osaka with an 8pm arrival, the last train connection is around 18.44 that can be done with the JR Pass. I recommend spending your first night near Narita Airport or Tokyo, then travel on the following day.
