Hi, I am bit confused on the various types of JR pass available. I would wish to know if I could simply purchase the standard JR pass and will it be applicable for use/does it covered for travelling from Tokyo to Osaka/Kyoto. As in do I need to purchase separately under JR west pass, since I noticed that there are other types of JR pass available, in such case will the standard JR pass be applicable under such regions if I were to purchase just this particular pass only.

Hi there,
The JR Pass is valid nationwide and you do not need any other JR West passes once you have the pass.
