How much is the upgrade free from Ordinary seats to Gran Class?

Hi there,
There is no upgrade path available for Gran Class.
If you want to use Gran Class and hold any JR Pass, then you have to pay the Gran Class fee, in addition to the high speed fare.
This generally adds up to a high amount and is not recommended at all.
