Hi,
I am traveling with my 2 kids (19 and 13) to Japan early July.
I am wondering if we should get the JR Pass or buy individual tickets. Below is our traveling plan. Can you let us know if the JR Pass will cover all of the routes or just some, and if it's more worth it to get the pass or not. If we should get a pass, which one should we get? Thank you!

Day 1
- Taking Narita Express bus to Tokyo Station. - Tokyo Station taking Shinkansen to Kanazawa Station.

Day 2
- Taking bus from Kanazawa to Shirakawa-go

Day 3
- Taking bus from Shirakawa-go back to Kanazawa - Taking Shinkansen from Kanazawa to Tokyo Station - Taking the Tokyo Subway System to hotel

Day 4 and Day 5
- Using Tokyo Subway System

Day 6
- Using Tokyo Subway System and the Narita Express bus to Narita Airport.

Hi there,

A JR Pass would not help you make savings on this route. I think your best option would be to simply buy the tickets as you travel.

The JR Pass also does not include the bus to Shirakawago.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
