Hello
I am currently booking a holiday in Japan for later this year.
If I buy a JR Pass will it cover the following:

Tokyo to Takayama
Kanazawa to Kyoto
Kyoto to Amanohashidate
Amanohashidate to Kii-Tanabe
Kii- Katsuura to Osaka
Osaka to Tokyo

Thank you

Hi there,

Your itinerary would be fully covered by the JR Pass, but you just need to bear in mind how to get to Amanohashidate a specific way - the route I'd suggest can be found here and will take approximately 2 hours - in general, because your itinerary is slightly more unconventional than other typical tourist itineraries (which is good !) I'd suggest using the 'route' section of the Japan Travel website I linked, and selecting the 'JAPAN RAIL PASS' option under 'Tourist Passes'.

Kind regards,

Alexis
