Hi all.

We are arriving in Tokyo Narita airport. Will stay in Tokyo for several days. Then want to go to Mt. Guji and at the same day in Osaka. Want to stay in Osaka for several days, visit Kyoto and go back to Tokyo from Osaka.
I have following questions:
1. Which Pass should I buy?
2. Can I buy the Pass in Narita airport or Tokyo central station?
3. Can I use the Shinkansen trains for all these directions indicated above?
4. Where can I find timetable of Shinkansen trains?

Thanks a lot for help.

Hi there,

Mt. Guji :)? I recommend using a 7-day JR Pass for travel to travel to Osaka and back to Tokyo. These are the routes where you can make the best possible savings.

The JR Pass will cover all the Shinkansen between Tokyo and Osaka.

For travel times, I recommend learning to plan with Hyperdia this way you can find any route/timetable and more. It's a great tool for planning with the JR Pass. We also have a useful interactive map with all JR lines included.

Kind regards,
Daniel
