Hi, I am planning to take the Shinkansen from Tokyo to Sapporo.
1. Is the JR Pass also valid for buses from Sapporo to Shiretoko?
2. Is there an overnight train back from Sapporo to Tokyo that is covered by the JR Pass?

Hi there,
1.) The bus is not included but you can use the JR Pass as far as Abashiri station, from where it is a 40min bus ride.
2.) There are no night trains in general on this route anymore :( but you can use the super fast Hayabusa Shinkansen on this route.
