I have ordered a 1 week JR pass for my family. We will not arrive in Japan until 3rd July and as such the JR pass will not be sent to us until 3 months before (mid April) . Is it still possible for us to reserve a seat on the bullet train just now? I would like to make sure we have seats reserved to plan ahead .

Hi Gareth,
You can start making seat reservations once you arrive in Japan and have activated the JR Pass, please note that trains rarely sell out, and you don't have to worry about seating this far out.
