We will travel with our family (2 Kiss +2 adults) to Japan in July. First my wife will teach 4 days in Sapporo with Professor visa. If we leave from Tokyo to the Philippines first after we return will we get Temporary visitor stamp and could use Japan Rail Pass?
Or we can have the Rail Pass with her Professor Visa as well. We are definetily tourist with Hungarian passport.

The most important is that you have a tourist visa when you exchange the JR Pass. What other visa's you've had in the past or how you received the tourist visa does not matter.
