I already got my pass from postmail. Since Im traveling in holiday season (21/dec to 01/jan), Im afraid all seats will be unavailable. Thats why I want to make a reservation as soon as possible. Can I do it? Is it possible to book the seats with the pass I got?

Hi there,
You can start making seat reservations once you are in Japan, and have exchanged the pass. Japan does not celebrate Christmas like we might do in the west, and overall trains will not crazily busy. The real travel period is around new year and we suggest booking tickets for this period 3-4 days in advance. Doing that on the 21st or 22nd of dec will give you every option available.
