Hello,
I am flying into Haneda on a Sunday morning and plan on going to Osaka the same day. I would like to reserve Shinkansen seats. Do I need to wait until I arrive at Haneda and activate my JR Pass before I can make those reservations? Or is there some way I can make the reservations ahead of time and still use the JR Pass (instead of paying for separate Shinkansen tickets)? Thanks.

Online seat reservations are not currently available for tickets purchased through JRPass.com. However, you can easily reserve seats once you arrive in Japan at any JR Train Station ticket office (Midori-no-madoguchi) or via the ticket machines.
