Hello,
In July 2019 we make a roundtrip of 17 days in Japan. After 3 days in Tokyo, we start using our JR Pass for 2 weeks. We want to visit next regions:
Nikko - Nagano - Takayama or Matsumoto - Kyoto (5 nights and from there we visit Kobe, Osaka and Nara) - Hiroshima - Imabari/Onomichi - Hakone.
Can we reach all these destination with the Japan Rail pass?
What do you think about the trip with bicycle from Imabari to Onomichi and how do we bring our luggage to Onomichi? Or do we have to bring first our luggage to a hotel in Onomichi and then take a bus or something to Imabari, where we can hire a bicycle,
Thanks
Grtz Sergio

Hi Sergio,

You can use the JR Pass to cover all these cities and you'll make good savings compared to buying normal tickets.

For Onomichi and cycling the Shimanami Kaido, there are different options to forward your luggage. There's a bus along the route that you can use, or use a forwarding service like TQ-Bin, by Yamamoto transport. To forward your luggage from one hotel to the next.

Cycles can be rented at the begin and end of the Shimanamikaido route.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
