I thinking of an all Japan JR Rail Pass to cover Sapporo to Kagoshima and possibly 3 or 4 cities (Hakodate, Nagaoka, Kanazawa, Fukuoka) along the way.
I'm fairly certain the JR Rail Pass will see me to each of these cities. I am less certain about the trains/trams/street cars in the cities.
Feedback is most appreciated.

Hi there,

Seems like a lot of fun to go from North to South and visit stops along the way.

To get some orientation, have a look at our JR Map it will basically tell you 99% of what is covered. As a general rule, the Japan Rail Pass covers any JR line, both the highspeed and local networks. Other transport such as a tram or metro is not included.

Hope this helps!
Daniel
