We have a long and somewhat complicated itinerary and I'm not sure if getting a Japan rail pass would save money. When I look at the costs it's hard to figure a window for the pass that will save me money as some of the routes are not covered by the pass. Here is the itinerary:
9/21 Tokyo
9/24 day trip to Nikko
9/27 Kamakura
9/29 Hakone
10/2 Hiroshima
10/5 Kurashiki
10/7 Kyoto
10/10 day trip to Himeji
10/13 day trip to Nara
10/15 Kanazawa
10/16 Osaka

Any helpyou can give me sorting this out would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve Berger

Hi Steve,

Apologies for the delay in response on this way. I think you could look at using a 14-day Japan Rail Pass for this trip and use it for travel from 10-2 onwards to 10-16. This is the period that you travel the most on the bullet trains, and thus where the best savings can be made. ^^

Travel between all these cities is included by the JR Pass, so enjoy :)

Kind regards,
Daniel
