Hey,

I'm having doubts if should i buy the JR pass or not.
So im going to travel 21 days but i am not moving a lot.
So my trip is:
9 days tokyo;
then tokyo-hakone and stay at hakone 2 nights;
hakone-kyoto and staying at kyoto 7 days ( one day trip to Nara)
Kyoto-mount Koya, staying 1 night;
Mount koya - osaka, stayinh 2 nights
and then osaka to the tokyo airport.

Can you help me?

Hi there,

I think you'll be best off just getting normal tickets here. You already said it yourself, you won't be moving a lot and the JR pass is especially made to explore using the train.

A 7-day JR Pass may have been good if you did the return to Kyoto in this period, but there too, you'll be travelling longer.

Kind regards,
Daniel

You can do so at any JR station, no need to do so in advance, unless you travel on special/busy days.
