Single tickets or JR pass?

Hello, me and my s.o. will be flying into Tokyo Haneda on November 14th and will be leaving on December 10th.
I'd like to follow this itinerary:
Futaba 14/11
Kanazawa 16/11
Hiroshima 19/11
Kyoto 21/11 (with day trips to Azuchi and Nara)
Osaka 26/11
Tokyo 28/11 (with day trips to Kawagoe, Yokohama and maybe something else like Hakone).

However, I can't seem to find a way to buy single tickets to Futaba at all, and I'm having issues finding a simple way to reach Kanazawa and Hiroshima. I was thinking about taking a JR pass for 14 or 21 days (not sure yet) because I'd really enjoy receiving some help through the JR meet and greet service, but I'm dubious if it covers all the trips I'd like to make. And I'm also extra scared that I won't make it to Futaba if I reserve the train the very same day I reach Japan, but still I can't seem to get a ticket anyhow.

Any suggestions?

Kind regards

Hi there,

The journey from Tokyo to Futaba, Fukushima, will take approximately 4 hours. You can use a tool like Navitime to check if it's feasible to make the trip on the same day as your arrival, depending on your landing time.

The Nationwide JR Pass covers your itinerary, including the journeys to Futaba, Kanazawa, and Hiroshima.

If you activate a 14-day JR Pass on the 14th of November, it will be valid until the 27th of November. However, should your travel continue beyond the 28th of November, you might want to consider a 21-day JR Pass instead.

I hope this helps with your planning!

Kind Regards,

Mariko
