Hello there!

I'll be in Japan from September 16th to October 16th, almost a entire month. I would like to be adviced about what would be the best way to use transport service during my trip in Japan.

There is a lot of information on internet and I don't know if it's better to get a Suica Card and buy all the tickets individually or to get a JR Pass for 21 days + a Suica Card for the days that I have left.

I'll be visiting:
Tokio (7 days)
Koshu (1 day)
Yamanashi (1 day)
Osaka (7 days)
Hiroshima (1 day)
Wakayama (1 day)
Kioto (5 days)
Nagoya (2 days)
Takayama (3 days)
Narita (2 days)

Thank you very much!

Hi there,

Because of the ways your itinerary is spread out, it's probably easier to purchase your tickets individually. That being said, it might be worth looking into short regional passes that may allow you to make some savings, e.g. a Kansai-Hiroshima Pass will be eligible for 5 days and will cover travel from between Osaka, Hiroshima, Wakayama and Kyoto, leaving you a day to spare that would allow you to make another day trip from one of your 5 days in Kyoto, e.g. to Nara. More info can be found here. But make sure you pick up some sort of Suica or Pasmo card for your long stays in the big cities!

Hope this helps!

Alexis
