Hi, We will be travelling to Japan in March 2023, our itinerary is as follows:
Day 1: Landing Tokyo
Day 2: Travel to Kawaguchiko (Fuji Mt) by train
Day 3: Travel to Gala Yuzawa Snow by train
Day 4: Tokyo then in the evening travel to Kyoto
Day 5: Kyoto
Day 6: Kyoto, then in the evening goes to Kansai Airport Osaka
kindly advise what kind of pass(es) shall we purchase for our trip to Japan? And is it include local bus and train in Yuzawa and Kawaguchiko?

Hi there,
All together, you will be able to make savings using the JR Pass. Though, the price difference is not that big. The JR Pass will cover your travel to Gala Yuzawa, Kyoto, and to/from the airport.
While you can't go all the way to Kawaguchiko using the JR Pass, it can still be used up to Otsuki station and thus adding to your savings. From there, an additional fare does apply.
