Hello,
I will be traveling between the following cities for a few days each, beginning in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, and ending in Tokyo. I plan on doing Osaka and Nara as day trips with a base in Kyoto, then will head back to Tokyo from there. Is a JR Pass the best option to get between these cities and also travel in the cities or will in need to get multiple passes? Just trying to figure my best option.

Hi Sara,

The JR Pass is likely the best option but for me to know for sure, could you tell me how many days you'd be staying in each city?

Hi Daniel,
Tokyo for one night, then off to Kyoto for 4 days (day trip to Nara, then another day trip to Osaka, but will be sleeping in Kyoto), heading to the mountains to see the snow monkeys for a day, then back to Tokyo for 5 days.
