Hi, I am travelling to Japan for 13 days in December and have purchased a 14 day JR Pass for use. Can you please tell me if the below routes are covered in the pass?

  • Fukuoka to Hiroshima
  • Hiroshima to Osaka
  • Osaka to Tokyo
  • Tokyo to Mt. Fuji
  • Tokyo to Hakodate
  • Hakodate to Sapporo
  • Sapporo to Otaru
  • Sapporo to New Chitose Airport

Also, can you please tell me if I can use the pass to travel around in these cities? If so, how do I know which trains are covered with JR? Is there a map I can use for reference? Or a website where I can check for live schedules of JR pass covered trains/buses that I can take? I would like to know if I have to pay extra money before taking the train so that there are no surprises in the trip.

Thank you very much!

Hi there,

Yes, all these are covered. The only route that may additional cost is to Fuji, however I can't say as it depends on the station.

You can check our map at: www.jrpass.com/map

Kind regards,
Daniel
