Is the validity of a seven day pass from the time of the day when I start to use it. For example passing the gate 1 pm 1th of april. Is the pass valid to the 8Th of april 1 pm? Must the final journey end before 1 pm or is it OK that its start before 1pm?
Can I prebook seating via Internet?

Hi there,
The Japan Rail Pass is counted in consecutive days, and will start counting down from the first day of use, no matter what time you start using it. For example, starting the JR Pass on a Monday, means that the last day of travel is the following Sunday.
Seats can be reserved in person, at any JR station or ticket window.
