Hi! My surname on my passport is Ibañez, but when I booked my JR pass, it doesn’t accept letter ‘ñ’, so it appears as letter ‘n’ on my JR pass voucher. It appears as Ibanez instead. Will it be an issue upon claiming?

Thank you!

Hi there,

That will be no problem at all! Like many airline systems, we don't add special characters. For example, in my name it should be Daniël, but is just written as Daniel, and that's completely fine.

Kind regards,
Daniel
