where can i use the japan rail pass??

hello,
Can i use the japan rail pass for all transport?? I mean if i go from tokyo to kyoto can i use it??? Can i use it for the metro in tokyo or the buses??

Hi there,

You can use the Japan Rail Pass on all JR lines nationwide. As well as local JR buses and the Tokyo Monorail.

Other transport such as the Metro and buses run by other companies are not included.
