Which JR pass do I need?

I'll be doing Tokyo-Ishikawa (4 days) ; Ishikawa -Kyoto (5 days) ; Kyoto-Tokyo (3 days) . I suppose I need to purchase the 2 Week JR Pass. Is that the cheapest way to do this?

Hi there,

Is this all the rail travel that you'll do or are you planning to visit any other cities, like doing day trips?

I'm asking as right now it would cost less to buy normal tickets as you travel but the difference is not that much and adding a bit more travel might make the JR Pass pay off quickly.
