Hi there,
The 7-day Nationwide JR Pass is perfect for your trip, and you can start using it from the 28th of March to the 3rd of April.
For your time in the Tokyo area, the JR East Pass might be a useful option.
If you don't have sufficient time to receive your JR Pass exchange order vouchers before your departure, you can arrange for them to be delivered to your accommodation in Japan.
I hope this helps. Have a wonderful time in Japan!
Kind Regards,
Mariko
