Hello and thank you in advance for your help! I have never been to Japan and am excited, but very unclear about how to get/use the JRPass, or if I should even purchase one. Your advice is very appreciated!

I will be traveling with 3 other people to Japan. I would like to know if I should get a Railpass, and if so, which one?

Oct. 19, 2023 Fly into Tokyo, staying with my brother
Oct. 23-26 Kyoto
Oct. 26-28 Hiroshima
Oct. 28 back to Tokyo
Oct. 29-31 Hakone (but if this changes things too much, I don't need this part of the trip included)
Oct. 31-Nov. 1 back to Tokyo...we fly out Nov. 1

Hello Lizoforcas,

I would highly recommend a 7-day JR Pass for travel from the 23th of Oct. until to 29th of Oct. These are the days you will travel the most and where the best savings are possible.

Please do place your order ahead of time, as prices are set to increase significantly on Oct 1st.
