I am visiting Japan in the month of December mid to jan 2nd. I will be visiting the following places in the order. Can you please help me if the JR pass is worth for my Travel or Individual Train booking is better.
Transit 1: Narita Airport - Yamagata
Transit 2: Yamagata - Kyoto
Transit 3: Kyoto -Osaka
Transit 4: Osaka - tokyo
Transit 5: Tokyo- Narita Airport

For your itinerary it is unlikely that a JR Pass will be your most cost-effective option, so I'd recommend purchasing your tickets individually.

Where can I reserve tickets online?
Hi there,
Unfortunately, online seat reservations are not currently available for tickets purchased through JRPass.com. However, you can easily reserve seats once you arrive in Japan at any JR Train Station ticket office (Midori-no-madoguchi) or ticket machine.
