we will land Haneda airport and stay in Tokyo one night then off to Kyota-Osaka-Kobe the next day (prob base in Osaka) for 7 days
we think the Osaka-Tokyo Hokuriku Arch Pass is the way to go as it gets us to and from Tokyo, around the Osaka area and then just buy a day trip to Hiroshima.

how long is the trip from Tokyo to Osaka going via the arch pass vs the full JR Pass?
same question for returning to Hanada airport before we fly out?

this seems to save us some $300+ dollars since we are limiting the cities we will explore this trip.

Hello,

The time it takes to get to each destination won't vary if you buy the Hokuriku Arch Pass or the JR Pass. The lines you'd be travelling on are the same.

From Tokyo Station to Shin-Osaka Station, the journey is about 2.5-3 hours. The same goes for the return but getting from Tokyo to the airport isn't covered by the passes. But yes, getting the Arch Pass is the right move.

can we purchase our Hanada to Tokyo ahead of time too? we need to travel there in the 12th
and on the 19th we will need to travel back to the airport from Osaka/Kyoto
