Time alloted to switch from JR Tokaido Sanyo Main Line to Shin Osaka?

How much time should we allow between getting off the JR Tokaido Sanyo Main Line train (Kyoto to Osaka) and then noarding the Shinkansen Nozomi 29 train at Shin Osaka (for Fukuoka)? We are not familiar with the Osaka train Station or Shin Osaka station, and will have two older people in our group, so want to make sure we have enough time to make the transfer.

Hi there,

I'd recommend 40-60 minutes to be safe, depending on how quickly you are able to move with the older people in your group. It can be quite confusing so its better to be early !
