Is JR rail pass for 21 days worth it?

We will spend 3 weeks in Japan traveling south to north. Part of the places we want to travel to are Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, and Hakote. We actually get a private tour https://gowithguide.com/japan to visit all destinations. Not sure if a JR rail pass for 21 days is worth it? I can't also find Shinkansen ticket prices online. Please help. Thanks!

Hi there,

It will depend on how much travel you do (basically the answer for any JR Pass is it worth it? question).

Since I don't have the details for your trip (dates and routes) I suggest using our JR Fare calculator: https://www.jrpass.com/farecalculator/

To check if you can make savings with a pass.
