My family and I are planning to go Japan this May for 10 days vacation, Tokyo-Kyoto(3days)-Oasaka(1day)-Nara(1day) and back to Tokyo till our last day in Japan.
I just want to ask what Pass do we need to cover all the area from Tokyo-Kyoto-Osaka-Nara-Tokyo?
Secondly, what Pass do we need to go around Tokyo and its prefecture?

I recommend using a 7 day JR Pass for your trip, this will cover travel between all these cities and help you save a good bit of money.
Within Tokyo you could just buy day tickets for the metro or JR, depending on where in Tokyo you want to travel. These are 750yen each, valid for a day and can be purchased at any ticket machine.
