Hi,
We were hoping to travel from Tokyo to Sapporo via Bullet Train in February next year but we’re concerned that snow falls may cause delays or cancellations which would affect our plans. Can you advise whether it would be better to fly?

Hi Nicole,
Both Air and Rail travel can be disrupted by weather conditions and I would not say that one is better than the other in any regard. It really depends on what is going on.
Having said that, the Hokkaido Shinkansen are build with winter conditions in mind. There's a really Cool clip on Youtube - of Shinkansen blowing through the snow - like it's nothing. If anything, that should give you the confidence to book.
