18 days in Japan + JR Pass + RPass

Hi, we’d like to ask for some advice. We’ll be in Japan from October 8 to October 24, arriving and departing from Osaka, 2 people. Below is the itinerary with the destinations we’re planning to visit, and we’d like to know whether a JR Pass or regional passes would be more cost‑effective for us.

1st day – arrival in Osaka
2nd day – full day exploring Osaka
3rd day – full day trip to Himeji (round trip from Osaka)
4th day – Nara (round trip from Osaka)
5th day – transfer to Hiroshima and visit of the city
6th day – Miyajima, then transfer to Kyoto
7th day – full day exploring Kyoto
8th day – Wazuka (round trip from Kyoto)
9th day – transfer to Kanazawa
10th day – exploring Kanazawa
11th day – transfer to Kamikōchi
12th day – transfer from Kamikōchi to Tokyo
13th day – full day exploring Tokyo
14th day – full day trip to Nikko (round trip from Tokyo)
15th day – Fuji and Hakone (round trip from Tokyo)
16th day – transfer from Tokyo back to Osaka
17th day – afternoon departure
