Hi im preparing my itinerary this segment is from hiroshima to sapporo how come there's a big time gap between himeji and tokyo? Im planning to take the 2136 train schedule. Thanks

Hi there,
I'm not exactly sure which train you are referring to (I cannot find a 21:36 train - if possible, please send a link), but if you are referring to the 23:35 Seto or Izumo trains from Himeji to Tokyo, these trains take a long time as they are sleeper trains. The cheapest reclining areas (nobi nobi seats) are valid for Japan Rail Pass users should you wish to use them.
