JR Pass or Separate ticket or Car Rental?

Hi all, need your kind advise here! :)

We're planning to go to Japan next March, with the JR pass high increase. Is it worth to buy the 7 days pass (i read it's 50k yen for 7days next year..), if our itinerary includes:
TOKYO -> KAWAGUCHIKO
KAWAGUCHIKO -> KYOTO-ARASHIYAMA-NARA
KYOTO -> TAKAYAMA
TAKAYAMA -> TOKYO
