Nohi/Hokutetsu non-reserved buses and Takayama Hokuriku Pass

Hi, I have two questions that I hope someone can help me with:
1. For the Nohi and Hokutetsu buses, it reads on the JR pass website that these buses are included in the pass for the Takayama-Shirakagago-Kanazawa line but that for some, reservations are required. Is there any definitive information on whether the non-reserved buses are also included? Or are pass-holders only allowed to board the reserved buses? In my case, I've called the Nohi and Hokutetsu bus lines to try to make reservations, but all of my options are fully booked already so I have to resort to using the non-reserved buses.

1. I tried calling the Nohi bus center and asking this question (in Japanese, if that's relevant) and she couldn't answer my question and instead said I need to show my pass at the Takayama Bus Center and ask them. Does anyone know of any contacts I can ask within Japan this question so I don't have to wait until I arrive in Takayama?
