7 day trip to Japan

Hi , I have read through posts regarding which is best to purchase, the 7 day JR pass or individual tickets and a IC Card or the Kansai area pass. I will be travelling with 2 teenagers also.

My Itinerary consists of:
Fly to Osaka - stay the entire trip
Day 1 - Osaka day trip
Day 2 - Osaka to Hiroshima - day trip return
Day 3 - Osaka to Tokyo - day trip return
Day 4 - Osaka to Mt Fuji - day trip return
Day 5 - Osaka to Kyoto and West Kyoto - day trip return
Day 6 - Osaka - Nara - day trip return
Fly home
