Hello!

We will be getting a Japanese Railpass. We arrive at Osaka International Airport and will be transferring to Kobe by coach where we will be based. Is it possible to exchange our voucher for the railpass at Itami before we leave the airport but with the start date of the following day? Otherwise I think we have to pay to travel from Kobe to Osaka to activate the pass the next day as there is no exchange at Kobe?

Hi Lesley,

My recommendation would be to activate it at the Kansai Airport Station, and have the activation date set to whenever you need to make your first trip using the pass. The benefit of this is that you can begin making reservations as soon as you set the activation date which will help make sure you have reserved a seat when you need one.
