Hello, I am traveling in Japan during late November into early December. It is currently March. When should I buy the JR Pass? Does the price fluctuate?
Our itinerary is:
Tokyo > Kyoto > Fukuoka > Tokyo

Hi there,
The price doesn’t fluctuate - however I recommend purchasing about a month or two in advance as you’ll need to have the exchange orders sent to you in the post, but the most you can have the exchange orders before having to activate is three months.
