hello, I have a regular JR pass, can I reserve a seat in GreenCar with a surcharge. and how much will it stand

Hi there,
The JR Pass would also cover the basic fare if you want to use a Green Car using a normal rail ticket.
For example Tokyo - Kyoto:
Basic Fare: ¥ 8,210
High speed fare: ¥ 5,700
Green Fare: ¥ 4,780
You'd pay both the High speed fare and Green Fare. This alone is the price of upgrading a 7 day JR to Green class and is the option I would suggest taking if you want to travel in Green Class.
