My itinerary to Japan is a 14 days trip to Osaka, nara, kyoto, kobe and nagoya. Please advise whether getting a JR pass is better and cost saving? How should I plan the itinerary if i arrive as osaka and back to osaka. Which city should come first?
Hi there,
Based on this route, a JR Pass would not help you make savings. Nara, Kobe, Osaka and Kyoto are all closely located in the Kansai Area and Nagoya is the only one further afield. So, the order does not really matter much.
I think most people enjoy Kyoto the most, as it is the cultural capital of Japan with a lot of history.
