I am flying to Japan tomorrow and wanted to buy a rail pass to save money. After browsing the site, it appears that a temporary pass must be mailed to you before you leave. Is there any way of printing out a temporary pass instead? As I said, I am leaving tomorrow and have no time to order something over the mail. Thanks everyone.

Hi there,
Unfortunately you have to buy the pass outside of Japan, be it via mail or pick it up directly at a re-seller.
We can however dispatch the JR Pass to your accommodation in Japan, given that you place the order before departure. Please contact us directly at [email protected] if you would like to make use of this possibility.
