Hi,
I cannot activate my pass until September 29 or 30. Is 3 days ample time to reserve the Hokuto and Hayabusa for travel on Oct 3, 4. Going from Saporro to Aomori. Aomori to Osaka.

Hi there,
There should be ample time, as that is a standard weekend rather than a national holiday or peak travel period in Japan. Once you collect your pass at the JR Pass exchange office, you can set your start date and make train seat reservations immediately.
